Bicyclist, Lance Armstrong admitted that he had been using nitrogen to fill his bike tires for the past 8 years. Armstrong at first claimed that he had always used regular air, but, apparently came clean after the International Bicyclist Association reports about random inflation tests were published. Using nitrogen in bike tires is prohibited on the competitive circuit. Armstrong was a multiple winner of the Tour de France and former world champion. “This does not look good for his credibility,” said Ralph J. MacGregor, president of the American Bicyclist Federation.
Armstrong was not available to comment.
